Christmas Traditions:
Any type of tradition that he loves and that you can send in the mail is something they will always love!

PICTURES!
They love pictures more than anything so I put together a flip book of pictures of us and his family and friends and he loved that!

Getting Creative:
Last year for Christmas I wanted to send something sentimental and handmade. I made an ornament for him to go on his mini tree his mom had sent him. I printed out a map of Utah and of Texas and cut out a heart around where my house was and where he was living at the time. I glued the hearts on the outside of the ornament and filled the ornament with curled up pieces of the map. It actually turned out really cute. Not only was it both places on the same ornament but now when we hang it on the tree we always know where he was that Christmas.

Sending them the boring stuff:
Sometimes they really need things and they have no money. Cam needed razors, deodorant, cologne, etc. Wrap them up all cute and send a few of the things he needs. He will appreciate them more than you know!

Your Testimony:
The first year Cam was still in the MTC and I sent him a Book of Mormon with my testimony in it. Once he got into the mission field, him giving that Book of Mormon away to an investigator turned into one of his most spiritual and prized memories. It means more than you know.

Pdays:
Believe it or not, they get sick of shirts, ties and slacks. I sent cam a really nice pair of buckle jeans, some AE shirts and some nice basketball shorts to wear on Pdays. He loved them it was great to get something nice other than church clothes and a fancy tie... because they have a billion of them already!

Decorations:
This is something you want to send before christmas but a little tree with lights and ornaments, or lights for the house and some decorations make them feel like home. Its nice to have some kind of decorations and they enjoy them!

Gift Cards:
Go onto google maps and find what restaurants are in their area and get them some gift cards for there. They always want food and its nice when they don't have to spend the little money that they have.

Wall Tree:
I never did this but I know many that have. They created a big tree out of paper to put on the wall and had friends and family members write notes to him and the other missionaries on cut out ornaments. You could also do scriptures and spiritual sayings if you don't want to do notes.

There are a few ideas! They will really love anything you send them! Good luck and be happy!! It will all be worth it in the end! :) :)
